AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORD-12:017 TO ADD THE POSITION OF TRAFFIC OPERATIONS ENGINEER TO THE PERMANENT TRAFFIC CONTROL REVIEW COMMITTEE; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the Permanent Traffic Control Review Committee was established by ORD-12:017 on April 3, 2012, to review the need and/or placement of traffic control signage, signals and other devices as needed.
WHEREAS, Mayor Perrin recommends adding the Traffic Operations Engineer to the committee to provide further expertise when making recommendations to the City Council.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: ORD-12:017 is amended to add the position of Traffic Operations Engineer to the Permanent Traffic Control Review Committee.
SECTION 2: Due to the immediate need to add this position to the committee an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
