A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE 2021 BUDGET TO INCLUDE GRANT FUNDING FROM THE FEDERAL RAILROAD ADMINISTRATION TO EXPAND RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE

WHEREAS, Resolution 21:014 authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to accept the award and to enter into an agreement with the Federal Railroad Administration; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro was awarded a grant from the Federal Railroad Administration in the amount of $2,335,400 (no city match required) to expand rail infrastructure at the Craighead Technology Park; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed the 2021 budget in RES-20:244, which will need to be amended to reflect the award amount.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1:  The 2021 budget is hereby amended to include the $2,335,400 grant from the Federal Railroad Administration for the expansion of rail infrastructure at the Craighead Technology Park.

PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 16TH DAY OF MARCH, 2021.
