RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS (OJP), UNITED SATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (DOJ), JAG LOCAL FUNDS

Whereas, the City of Jonesboro was awarded the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) funding entitled “JAG Local: Eligible Allocation Amounts $25,000 and more” in the amount of $29,605 with no local match; and

Whereas, the OJP funding funds are for Police Department crime reduction equipment. 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro will enter into agreement with the Department of Justice to accept the Office of Justice Programs, United States Department of Justice, JAG Local in the amount of $29,605.  

SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this application.
