RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE DELTA DENTAL ARKANSAS FOUNDATION TO RECEIVE COVID-19 RELIEF FUNDING

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas has been awarded the Delta Dental Arkansas Foundation Covid-19 Relief Fund grant in the amount of $2,500; and,
WHEREAS, funds will be utilized to purchase hygiene items for the homeless; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed the 2020 Budget in Resolution RES-19:201, which will need to be amended in order to reflect the award amount; and,
WHEREAS, the grant is 100% funded with private funds and there is no cost to the City of Jonesboro.
NOW; Therefore, be it resolved by City Council of the City of Jonesboro that:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas will enter into agreement with the Delta Dental Arkansas Foundation.
SECTION 2: The city’s 2020 budget will be amended to include the grant award of $2,500.
SECTION 3: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City of Jonesboro City Council to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
SECTION 4: The Grants and Community Development Department is hereby authorized by the City of Jonesboro City Council to execute all documents necessary to accept this agreement.
