A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ACCEPT THE NEGOTIATED LOW BID AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH OLYMPUS CONSTRUCTION, INC. TO CONSTRUCT THE VETERANS’ VILLAGE PROJECT (2020:12)

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro negotiated a contract for the Veterans’ Village project; and,
WHEREAS, the negotiated low bidder is Olympus Construction, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the funding for the execution of the contract shall come from the National Housing Trust Fund (NHFT) grant through Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA) and compensation shall be paid in accordance with the contract documents.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS;
Section 1. That the City of Jonesboro shall accept the negotiated low bid of $1,163,496.75, subject to additions and deductions as provided in the Contract Documents, and enter into a contract with Olympus Construction, Inc. for the Veterans’ Village project.
Section 2. The funding for the execution of the contract shall come from the National Housing Trust Fund (NHFT) grant through Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA); JET 5307 funding (sidewalks), and CDBG (outreach center site improvements), and compensation shall be paid in accordance with the contract documents.
Section 3. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
