AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 117-139(d) OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO ZONING CODE

Whereas, there is a need to clarify section 117-139, Commercial and Industrial Districts, subsection (d) for the Dimension Requirements Commercial and Industrial District.

 

Now, therefore, be it ordained that the City of Jonesboro will change code section 117-139(d) to indicate that the definition of C-2 downtown fringe commercial district would provide for an allowed use as residential, except in the hotel corridor area.


The City Council further finds and declares that an emergency exists due to public welfare and a technical error in the code which is preventing redevelopment of smaller parcels in which it's highest and best use is residential, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
