AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE GUIDELINES FOR THE ACCESS MANAGEMENT IN THE CITY OF JONESBORO

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to formalize the requirements for access management along city streets which are classified as collector or above in the Master Street Plan in order to provide for smoother traffic flow in the city and pedestrian safety; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt these guidelines for access management.
WHEREAS, pursuant to ACA 14-55-207, public notice was given of the City’s intent to adopt said guidelines by reference, and advised that three (3) copies of the documents were on file and available for public review and examination in the Office of the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the MAPC, the Master Street Plan Committee, and the City Council have discussed these guidelines at numerous public meetings, and all comments, views, suggestions and recommendations have been considered and addressed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: The Guidelines for Access Management are hereby adopted by reference.
