A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO AMEND THE 2019 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE CODE ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, Resolution 15:057 condemned the property located on 700 Cate Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to demolish the structure after negotiations with the property owner to demolish the property were not successful; and,
WHEREAS, the 2019 Code Enforcement Department Budget from Resolution 18:186 will need to be increased in the amount of $125,000 in order to include the cost of demolition; and,
WHEREAS, a lien will be filed upon completion of the demolition.
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1: The sum of $125,000 will be added to the Code Enforcement Department’s 2019 budget, said sum shall come from the unappropriated funds in the General Fund.
