A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN ENGAGEMENT LETTER FOR AUDIT SERVICES FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS OF FEDERAL AWARD AUDIT WITH THOMAS, SPEIGHT & NOBLE FOR FY2018, FY2019 and FY2020.

WHEREAS, entities that expend $750,000 or more annually in federal financial assistance must have an audit performed in accordance with the Single Audit Act Amendments of 1996 and the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments and Nonprofit Organizations, and
WHEREAS, THOMAS, SPEIGHT & NOBLE will complete the above audit submission to The Federal Audit Clearinghouse and to the City of Jonesboro. The audit years will be for three (3) years -- (FY18) December 31, 2018; (FY19) December 31, 2019; and (FY20) December 31, 2020 -- at a cost of $9,000.00 per year for a total of $27,000.00.
WHEREAS, the funding for the execution of this award comes from existing budget appropriations in the Grants Administration Department.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to effectuate this agreement.
