A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO AMEND THE 2019 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, Resolution Number 18-186 adopted the 2019 Budget; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is needing to add a Police Sergeant position to cover the expanding role of the Drug Task Force and Creating a Federal Task Force Officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigation;
WHEREAS, the 2019 Police Department Budget will need to be increased in the amount of $5,300.00 in order to effectuate the increased position of an additional sergeant.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The sum of $5,300.00 be added to the Police Department's Budget for salaries, said sum coming from the unappropriated funds in the General Fund.
