A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO AMEND THE 2019 BUDGET TO ADD ONE NEW PATROL OFFICER POSITION IN ORDER TO FILL A NEW SRO POSITION FOR THE NETTLETON SCHOOL DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro passed the 2019 Budget in Resolution 18-186, which will need to be amended in order to effectuate said increase in the budget for school resource officers for the Nettleton School District, the budgeted amount will need to be increased by a total of $47,396.55.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro that:
1. The 2019 Budget is hereby amended to provide for an increase in the budget for School Resource Officers of $47,396.55 to add one new resource officer to the Nettleton School District for the first semester of the 2019-20 school year. The money for said increase will come from monies in the general fund. The salary and benefits will be reimbursed to the general fund from the Nettleton School District.
