RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FIVE THOUSAND ($5,000.00) DOLLARS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A NEW VAN FOR TRANSPORTATION FOR THE DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS, CHAPTER 26

WHEREAS, the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 26 sponsors two (2) vans to serve veterans in this area with transportation including transportation to and from Veterans Administration hospitals in Little Rock, Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee; and

WHEREAS, the city of Jonesboro desires to appropriate five thousand ($5,000.00) dollars towards the purchase of a van to assist in providing transportation; and

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1:  The City of Jonesboro shall appropriate to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 26 five thousand ($5,000.00) dollars towards the purchase of a new van.

Section 2:  That Mayor Harold Perrin and City Clerk Donna Jackson, are authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to effectuate this agreement.
