RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO NAME THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED DOG PARK LOCATED AT THE EARL BELL COMMUNITY CENTER THE MIDTOWN DOG PARK AT EARL BELL COMMUNITY CENTER.

WHEREAS, The Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department would like the name this dog park to make it easier for citizens to locate the park; and
WHEREAS, with the possibility of other dog parks being constructed in Jonesboro this name would help decipher it from the others; and
WHEREAS, Earl Bell, Jr. has been contacted for approval of this renaming and he is happy for his name being used for this project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: The City of Jonesboro expresses its desire to name the dog park located at the Earl Bell Community Center, the Midtown Dog Park at Earl Bell Community Center, as appreciation and gratitude for the contributions Earl Bell, Jr. has made to the city of Jonesboro.
Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to submit necessary documents to effectuate this agreement.
