AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 117-34 TO PROVIDE FOR THE PLACEMENT OF SIGNS TO PROVIDE NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF REQUESTED PROPERTY USE CHANGES

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to make every effort to see that the public has notice of any requested changes in property uses in the city; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to clarify the placement of signs.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: That the language of Ordinance 117-34(2)b2 shall be amended by adding section (vi) as follows:
(vi) If a property has no road frontage or is on a dead end street, the number and location of signs to be posted will be determined by the Office of Planning. At least one sign will be required to be posted on the actual property, and at least one sign will be required to be posted along a nearby street, with the phone number of the planning office to call for more information.
