A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO PURCHASE A PERMANENT CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT FROM CARL MICHAEL AND LAURA DIANE CATO FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING AND MAINTAINING A WALKING TRAIL

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to purchase the following described easement for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a walking trail:
The South 15 feet of Lot 3 of the H.L.B. Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas
WHEREAS, an Offer has been made and accepted by Carl Michael and Laura Diane Cato to sell the above described property for the price of $1,800.00 ($1.00 per S.F.).
WHEREAS, the attached easement will be executed upon passage of this resolution.
WHEREAS, the funding for this purchase shall come from the Capital Improvement budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the documents necessary to complete this transaction at a price of $1,800.00 to come from the Capital Improvement budget.
