RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO A FIVE YEAR AGREEMENT WITH ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (ArDOT) FOR JONESBORO ECONOMICAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM (JET) TO CONTINUE RECEIVING FTA FEDERAL ASSISTANCE

WHEREAS, the City has received federal assistance for JET since 2006 and the proposed agreement will extend this partnership with ArDOT until 2022; and
WHEREAS, the City will comply with all federal and state regulations as prescribed in this agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City is considered as the recipient and ArDOT is considered the designated recipient for the FTA formula grant 5307; and
WHEREAS, the City is the sub-recipient to ArDOT, which is the prime recipient of FTA formula grant 5339.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro will enter into this agreement with the ArDOT for the continuation of this partnership to receive FTA federal assistance.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
