A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH RITTER COMMUNICATIONS TO PROVIDE CLOUD HOSTING SERVICES

WHEREAS, Ritter Communications has offered to provide cloud hosting services to the City of Jonesboro at a contracted rate of $2,883.00 per month for a term of 36 months; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro would utilize the cloud services for virtualization of servers and off-site backup; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro would be able to suspend maintenance agreements for Compellent storage, VMWare, and ARCServe, saving $2,431.34 per month; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro would be able to suspend use of dedicated data connection to the current disaster recovery site, saving $2500.00 per month; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro would not need to amend the current budget to accommodate the services provided by Ritter Communications; and
NOW, THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro will enter into an agreement with Ritter Communications to provide the aforementioned services.
SECTION 2: The Mayor is hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
