A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ADOPT THE TITLE VI AND OTHER CIVIL RIGHTS PROGRAM AS IT PERTAINS TO ALL FEDERALLY FUNDED PROJECTS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has signed an assurance that it will comply with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all other acts as a condition to receive any Federal funding, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is a direct recipient or sub-recipient of Federal financial assistance from several agencies; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro appoints the Human Resources Director as the Title VI Coordinator and the Finance Committee having oversight of the coordinator and the program.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: The attached plan, titled “Title VI and Other Civil Rights Program”, is hereby adopted and executed upon its passage.
