A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH-MAIN STREET TO COLLABORATE IN HOMELESS ACTIVITIES FOR THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED HUB (HELPING UNDERSERVED BELONG)

WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement between the City of Jonesboro Homeless Taskforce and First Baptist Church - Main Street is to outline the arrangement for the HUB; and
WHEREAS, the First Baptist Church has agreed to provide the following items for the HUB: operating space at no cost, furnish utilities for the space at no cost and maintain and repair any major issues arise in the space; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro Homeless Taskforce has agreed to provide the following: to carry insurance on the space, pay for telephone and WIFI services, to fund all services performed in the space and provide daily cleaning services for the space.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro Homeless Taskforce will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the First Baptist Church - Main Street for the performance of the aforementioned homeless activities for a period of one year starting April 4, 2017.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
