AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO AMEND THE 2017 GENERAL FUND TO CREATE A COURT SERVICES DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro passed the 2017 Budget in Ordinance 16:085, which will need to be amended in order to effectuate said increase in the General Fund Budget for the addition of a Court Services Department; and
WHEREAS, the budgeted amount for expenditures will consist of the following:
01-114-0201-00 Salaries - Court Services $77,972
01-114-0202-00 Holiday Pay $807
01-114-0203-00 Group Insurance $15,212
01-114-0204-00 Pension - City Contribution $3,898
01-114-0206-00 Payroll Taxes $4,835
01-114-0209-00 Travel & Training $8,000
01-114-0217-00 Professional Services $2,500
01-114-0220-00 Maint. Bldg & Grounds $7,500
01-114-0224-01 Office Supplies $2,000
01-114-0232-01 Minor Equip & Furniture $3,750
01-114-0284-00 Medicare Contributions $1,131
WHEREAS, the total amount of budgeted expenditures will be $127,605 for the year 2017; and
WHEREAS, the total amount of budgeted revenue will be in line item 01-114-0595-00 for $360,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro that:
1. The 2017 General Fund Budget is hereby amended to provide for an increase in the general fund expenditures of $127,605 and general fund revenue of $360,000 for the addition of a Court Services Department. The revenue generated within the Court Services Department will offset the money for said increase.
