AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE 2016 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ADD ONE ADDITIONAL POSITION OF CAPTAIN TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND MAKE ONE PART-TIME RECORDS CLERK FULL-TIME IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, it is recommended by the Finance Committee, to ensure sufficient staffing in the Fire Department, that the position of Captain be added into Salaries - Fire 01-102-0201-00 in the amount of $5,000 and Medicare 01-102-0284-00 in the amount of $73.00 and Fire Pension 01-102-0205-00 in the amount of $2,250;
WHEREAS, it is recommended by the Finance Committee, to ensure sufficient staffing in the Police Department, that the position of part-time records clerk be made full-time and added into Salaries-Police 01-101-0201-00 in the amount of $11,000 and Medicare 01-101-0284-00 in the amount of $165 and Social Security 01-101-0206-00 in the amount of $700.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The annual 2016 budget for the City of Jonesboro is amended by the addition of one Captain in the amount of $7,323.
SECTION 2: The annual 2016 budget of the City of Jonesboro is amended by the addition of a full-time records clerk in the amount of $11,865.
SECTION 3: Said sum to be added to the Fire Department and Police Department will come from unappropriated funds in the General Fund.
