AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO AMEND THE 2016 BUDGET AND MOVE $7,810,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR STIP PROJECTS

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro passed the 2016 Budget in Ordinance 15:069, which will need to be amended in order to effectuate said increase in the budget for the purpose of earmarking capital improvement money for STIP projects.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the city of Jonesboro that:

SECTION ONE:    The 2016 Budget is hereby amended to move money held in reserve from general operating fund to the capital improvement fund. 

SECTION TWO:   This ordinance being necessary to earmark funds required as local city match passed in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program  (STIP).
