A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS CONTRACTING FOR MOSQUITO ABATEMENT WITH VECTOR DISEASE CONTROL INTERNATIONAL, LLC.

Body

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro has need to continue services for mosquito abatement; and

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro advertised for mosquito abatement services for a period of six (6) years; and

WHEREAS, the only bid received was from Vector Disease Control International, LLC: and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1:  The City of Jonesboro accepts the offer of $406,000.00 from Vector Disease Control International, LLC for mosquito abatement services for 2012. Further the contract is approved for renewal each year for six (6) additional years. In the year 2013 the total fee shall be $412,000.00. In the year 2014 the total fee shall be $418,000.00. In the year 2015 the total fee shall be $424,000.00. In the years 2016, 2017 and 2018 the total fee shall be $430,000.00 per year.

Section 2:  The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
