A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO WAIVE COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, grant funds were secured and appropriated for the Jonesboro Police Department to purchase a terrain-adjustable rapid-deployment vehicular mobile video surveillance system; and
WHEREAS, Critical Tech Solutions (CTS) is the sole vendor and manufacturer of this equipment for the sum of $32,544.58, which includes a data subscription, freight, and sales tax; and
WHEREAS, the City Council in accordance with the terms of A.C.A. Section 14-58-303 hereby waives the requirement of competitive bidding since the purchase is an only source.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that;
Section 1: That the City Council in accordance with the terms of A.C.A. Section 14-58-303 hereby waives the requirement of competitive bidding since the purchase is an only source.
Section 2: The City Council directs the Purchasing Agent to purchase the above for the price of $32,544.58.
Section 3: Mayor Harold Copenhaver and City Clerk April Leggett are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
