A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH HALFF ASSOCIATES INC. TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR A MASTER PARKS PLAN FOR THE JONESBORO PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro wishes to create an overall Master Parks Plan to identify current facility capabilities, note needed improvements, community needs, service priorities, underserved areas and populations, and long term park system goals; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has desires to enter into an agreement to provide professional services for a Master Parks Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Request for Qualifications selection committee chose Halff Associates Inc. upon completion of a thorough review process; and
WHEREAS, Halff Associates Inc. has agreed to provide services for a Master Parks Plan detailed by the attached agreement; and
WHEREAS, the funding for the study will be allocated by the Parks and Recreation Department 2022 Appropriation - Capital Improvement Carryover Fund and the 2023 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS;
Section 1. That the City of Jonesboro shall accept the agreement and enter into a contract with Halff Associates Inc. for $190,000 to provide professional services for a Master Parks Plan.
Section 2. The funding for the study will be allocated by the Parks and Recreation Department 2022 Appropriation - Capital Improvement Carryover Fund and 2023 budget.
Section 3. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
