A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ALLOCATE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN FUNDS TO PURCHASE AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDING AND PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT FOR THE INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Information Systems Department needs to purchase Audio/Video Equipment to upgrade the Council Chambers to ensure adequate streaming, remote viewing options, and ensure quality recordings of public meetings; and
WHEREAS, the equipment needed may be purchased from Gateway Sight and Sound Direct, which is an authorized vendor under the state contract bid SP-19-0048 and therefore no bidding is required; and
WHEREAS, the total project estimation price is $111,300.00 and will include all audio/video equipment, along with training to provide a stable and reliable streaming and recording of council proceedings; and
WHEREAS, based off current guidelines this project is reasonably assumed to qualify for American Rescue Plan funding.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
1. The City of Jonesboro approves the purchase of audio/video equipment from Gateway Sight and Sound Direct, under state contract bid, for an amount not to exceed $120,000.00 to allow for contingencies. All other details of the purchase are set out in the attachment.
2. The Mayor, Harold Copenhaver and City Clerk, April Leggett are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this purchase.
