A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ALLOCATE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN FUNDS TO PURCHASE A FILTER & HEATING SYSTEM FOR THE JONESBORO CITY POOL

WHEREAS, the Parks Department desires to purchase equipment to allow for more open-air exercise and take steps to reduce illness transmission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro took bids and the lowest bidder was Clarity Pools in the amount of $83,901.59; and
WHEREAS, based off current guidelines, this expenditure follows qualification standards for American Rescue Plan funding.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
1. The City of Jonesboro approves the purchase of a pool heating system from low bidder, Clarity Pools, in the amount of $83,901.59 to be paid for by American Rescue Plan funding.
2. The Mayor, Harold Copenhaver and City Clerk, April Leggett are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this purchase.
