RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO PURCHASE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 915 W. OAK FROM THE ARKANSAS STATE LAND COMMISSIONER

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to enter into a contract to purchase the property located at 915 W. Oak, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401 and owned by Derick Evans; and,
WHEREAS, the cost for the purchase of said property is $4,200.47 plus normal closing cost.
WHEREAS, the Jonesboro Land Bank Commission voted to purchase the property at 915 W. Oak with money from Land Bank account # 01-162-0253-00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
1. The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas shall contract with the Arkansas State Land Commissioner for the purchase of property located at 915 W. Oak, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401 for the purchase price of $4,200.47 plus normal closing cost.
2. A copy of the Petition to Redeem is attached hereto.
3. The May Harold Copenhaver and City Clerk April Leggett, are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
