A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE HOPE FOUND OF NORTHEAST ARKANSAS “PROJECT HOPE” FOR HUMAN VICTIM TRAFFICKING SERVICES AND TO IMPLEMENT COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND AWARENESS PROGRAMS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, has allocated FY2021 CDBG Program funds in the amount of $19,791 for the Hope Found of Northeast Arkansas “Project Hope” to implement Community Education and Awareness Programming to address Human Victim Trafficking .; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires the sub recipient to carry out its stated objectives for the public services program as prescribed in the CDBG Annual Action Plan and in the scope of services within the said agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the sub recipient assumes responsibility for administering Federal funds in a manner consistent with underlying agreements, program objectives, and the terms and conditions of the Community Development Block Grant Program as described in this agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION I: The Mayor, Harold Copenhaver, and City Clerk, April Leggett, are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate said agreement.
