RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ACCEPT A STATE FARM MINI GRANT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro Police Department was awarded a $1,000 mini grant to assist with homelessness prevention activities, such as but not limited to hotel vouchers and gift cards for food; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant; and
Whereas, the Jonesboro Police Department will be responsible for facilitating the homelessness prevention activities in the community.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas supports the acceptance of the State Farm Mini Grant.
SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to execute all documents necessary to accept this grant.
SECTION 3: The Grants and Community Development Department is hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas to submit all necessary acceptance documents for this grant.
