AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR RETIREMENT BENEFITS FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to provide cost of living increases for retired elected officials.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: That all retired elected officials drawing retirement benefits shall receive cost of living increases annually in the same percentage as employee step raises are given annually.
SECTION TWO: That all previous ordinances which conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed and replaced.
