RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO ESTABLISHING THE JONESBORO SHOOTING SPORTS COMPLEX COMMITTEE AND ESTABLISHING A DEDICATED FUND IN THE CITY BUDGET TO RECEIVE CONTRIBUTIONS AND OTHER FUNDING FOR THE COMPLEX

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro needs to establish a committee to develop, promote, and raise funds for the Jonesboro Shooting Sports Complex (“Complex”), including contributions, grants, sponsorships, naming rights, and other sources; and,
WHEREAS, there is a need to establish a dedicated fund in the city budget to receive contributions and other funds to be used for development and operation of the Complex.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO THAT:
Section 1. The Jonesboro Shooting Sports Complex Committee is hereby created which may range from ten to twenty members nominated by the Mayor and approved by the City Council.
Section 2. Members of this Committee shall have terms that will expire when the Committee’s responsibilities are satisfied.
Section 3. There is a dedicated fund established in the city budget to receive contributions and other funds to be used for development and operation of the Complex.
