A RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ABANDONMENT OF A 15' x 350' ALLEY ON THE WEST SIDE OF LOTS 1 THROUGH 7, BLOCK A OF EARL KIECH SECOND EDITION BY FISHER AND ARNOLD ON BEHALF OF CMU INVESTMENTS, LLC

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that the City abandon a portion of an alley in;

 

EARL KIECH SECOND ADDITION (RECORDED IN PLAT DEED RECORD 110, PAGE 14).  Being more particularly described as follows:

 

A fifteen-foot alley extending along the west edge of Lots 1 - 7 Block A, of Earl Kiech Second Addition all being part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of S27, T14N, R04E. The entire length of the alley is 350 feet, and lies within Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas. 

 

WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND

 

WHEREAS, Arkansas Code requires public notice before the above alley can be vacated and abandoned;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of the request by the adjoining property owners to vacate and abandon the undeveloped alley mentioned above and this matter will be heard before the City Council on December 17, 2019 at 5:25 p.m., at the City Hall, located at 300 S. Church, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
