Arkansas State Police agreement for the Step Grant

Arkansas State Police entered into an agreement with the City for the 2015 Step Grant and was signed on October 6, 2014. The grant amount is for $82,500 in federal funds and $10,000 in state funds. The city will match the funds in the amount of $72,500. The grant is to be used for seat belt, DWI/DUI, speed and distracted driving enforcement. The resolution number is RES-14:132 and was approved by Council on September 16, 2014.
The ASP entered into another agreement with the City for the 2016 Step Grant. The grant amount is for $85,400 in federal funds and $12,000 in state funds. The city will match the funds with $73,400 in local funds. The grant is to be used for DWI/DUI enforcement, speed enforcement, laser spped measurement devices, portable breath testing instruments and child safety seats. The resolution is RES-15:140 and was approved by Council on September 1, 2015. No contract was provided.
