A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO PURCHASE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 914 EAST WASHINGTON, JONESBORO, ARKANSAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas desires to purchase the property located at 914 East Washington, Jonesboro, Arkansas for the purpose of street improvements
WHEREAS, an Offer has been made and accepted by Agape Church of God in Christ dated July 17, 2014 agreeing to sell her property located at 914 East Washington, Jonesboro, Arkansas more particularly described as follows:
A PART OF LOT 4 IN BLOCK B OF McHOSE ADDITION, RECORDED 05/28/1889, BOOK 7 PAGE 450, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: THE EAST 20 FEET OF LOT 4, LESS AND EXCEPT THE NORTH 50 FEET THEREOF, IN BLOCK B OF McHOSE ADDITION, CONTAINING 2876 SQUARE FEET OR 0.07 ACRES.
WHEREAS, the funding for the purchase of this property shall come from the Capital Improvement budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the documents necessary to complete this transaction at a price of $10,000.00 to come from the Capital Improvement budget.
