A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM ENHANCEMENT FUNDS

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas understands Federal-Aid Surface Transportation Enhancement Funds are available at 50 % Federal participation and 50 % local cash match for the following project: signalization at the intersection of State Highway 18 (Highland Drive) and Bittle Street / Fairpark Boulevard

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

 

SECTION ONE:  The City of Jonesboro will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility, in this project.

 

SECTION TWO:  As Chief Executive Officer, Mayor Hubert Brodell is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of the above stated project.

 

SECTION THREE:  The City Council of the City of Jonesboro pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to implement this project.
