CITY COUNCIL AGENDA - FEBRUARY 4, 2002
1. Call to order by Mayor at 6:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call by City Clerk.
3. Approval of minutes from regular meeting held January 21, 2002 as delivered.
4. City Attorney:
A. 1st Reading - Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-3) to Residential (R-1), located west of Flintstone Drive, on the north and south sides of Trailwater Drive. (Bob Gibson)
B. 1st Reading - Ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 3266, the 2001 Budget Ordinance.
C. 1st Reading - Ordinance to amend the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2.20 for the purpose of establishing rules of order and procedure in council meetings.
5. Resolution authorizing application for 80/20 matching grant for Federal-aid Surface Transportation Enhancement funds for the Jonesboro Downtown Enhancements, Phase I and II Projects.
6. Resolution authorizing the utilization of Federal-aid for the signalization of U.S. Highway 49 and Highway 351.
7. Resolution authorizing an agreement to issue bonds for the Met-Pro Corporation.
8. Resolution naming judges, clerks, and alternate workers to serve in the election for directors of the City Water and Light Board.
9. Set a public hearing for the purpose of vacating Lutterloh Street, a part of Hope Ave. and an alley located in Elder’s Addition. (Jonesboro Real Estate Holdings Company)
10. Set an appeal hearing regarding a recommendation to deny approval for a conditional use permit for emergency helicopter operations. (Medic One)
11. Review the following appointments/reappointments:
· Reappoint Mr. Lee Hummelstein and Mr. Jimmy Cooper to the City Water &
Light Board with an expiration date of March, 2005.
· Appoint Marilyn Copeland to the Parks and Advisory Committee with an expiration date of January, 2007.
· Reappoint Mr. John Street and Mr. Jim Damron to the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission with an expiration date of December, 2004.
