AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.662 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO.746, SECTION 1, SAME BEING AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A COMMUNITY CENTER COMMISSION, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: Ordinance No.662 as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance No.746 of the City of Jonesboro is hereby amended to read as follows:
There is hereby established a Municipal Center Commission of Community Center No.1 in and for the City of Jonesboro, said commission to consist of five members who shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council, one for the term of one year, two for the term of two years, and two for the term of three years, and as the original terms herein provided expires, all appointments to be made for the term of three years.
All vacancies occurring on said commission shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor with the approval of the City Council.
The terms of the members of said commission shall begin on the day following the first council meeting in January of each year, and shall serve and hold office until their successors are qualified and appointed.
