RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON ROXBURY NARROWS DEDICATED AS PART OF THE AMENDED PLAT OF HIGHLAND FOREST SUBDIVISION AS REQUESTED BY JERRY CRAFT

WHEREAS, property owners have filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that a street designated as Roxbury Narrows, dedicated as part of the amended plat of Highland Forest Subdivision to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas be vacated and abandoned; and

WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and,

WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 19-3814 requires two weeks public notice before the above streets can be vacated and abandoned; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advertising the public of the property owners request to vacate and abandon a street dedicated as a part of the amended plat of Highland Forest Subdivision to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on August 2^nd at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
