RESOLUTION TO APPOINT JACK SAMPLE AND ROBERT WELLS TO THE JONESBORO URBAN RENEWAL AND HOUSING AUTHORITY (NOTE: THIS RESOLUTION WAS DENIED ON OCTOBER 16, 2012)

WHEREAS, on October 16, 1967, the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas, created the Jonesboro Urban Renewal and Housing Authority (JURHA) in accordance with A.C.A. 14-169-207 ; and
WHEREAS, Dennis Zolper was appointed to the Authority on October 17, 1994, and Dr. David England was appointed on March 1, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Dr. England and Mr. Zolper have tendered their resignations to the JURHA Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, JURHA has recommended the appointment of Jack Sample to fill the unexpired term of Dr. England; and
WHEREAS, JURHA has recommended the appointment of Robert Wells to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Zolper.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: Jack Sample is hereby appointed to JURHA to fill the unexpired term of Dr. David England with an expiration date of October 31, 2016.
SECTION 2: Robert Wells is hereby appointed to JURHA to fill the unexpired term of Dennis Zolper with an expiration date of October 21, 2014.
