The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas met in regular session on the above named date in the City Hall. There were present: Mayor, City Clerk, City Atty., and the following named Councilmen: Mr. Powell, Mr. Hamilton, Mr. Stricklin, Mr. Hall, Mr. Snow, Mr. Copeland, Mr. Hendrix, Mr. Kaffka, Mr. Taylor. Absent: Mr. Johnson.

Mr. Stricklin offered the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE AND ESTABLISH A CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Mr. Hendrix made the motion, seconded by Mr. Hall, that the rules be suspended and the ordinance be placed on the second reading. Roll was called, all members voting aye. The Ordinance was then read for the second time. Mr. Hendrix then made the motion, seconded by Mr. Hamilton, that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on the third and final reading. Roll was called, all voting aye. The ordinance was then read for the third and final time. Mr. Stricklin made the motion that the ordinance be adopted as read. Mr. Taylor seconded the motion. Roll was called. All voting aye. Motion carried. The roll was then called on the emergency clause. All members voting aye. The ordinance was given the number 894.

Mr. Powell offered the following resolution:

RESOLUTION TO JOIN THE JONESBORO PLANNING COMMISSION TO REQUEST AID FROM THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

Mr. Hendrix made the motion, seconded by Mr. Stricklin, that the resolution be adopted as read. Roll called. All aye. Motion carried. The resolution was given the number 1955:03.

Mr. Hendrix offered the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN ANNUAL LICENSE FEE UPON EACH BICYCLE IN THE CITY OF JONESBORO; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Mr. Hendrix made the motion that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed on the second reading. Mr. Taylor seconded the motion. Roll was called. Nine voting aye. Mr. Powell n...
