A RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH CAVENAUGH AUTOMOTIVE GROUP FOR SPONSORSHIP OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO PARKS AND RECREATION ELEMENTARY BASKETBALL PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department provides an elementary basketball program for youth participants in Jonesboro and the surrounding area; and

WHEREAS, Cavenaugh Automotive Group desires to provide sponsorship funding for elementary basketball jerseys bearing the sponsor's name and/or logo; and

WHEREAS, Cavenaugh Automotive Group agrees to provide sponsorship funding in the total amount of Four Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($4,500.00) for the City of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Elementary Basketball Program; and

WHEREAS, the term of the sponsorship agreement is for one basketball season ending February 6, 2027;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas shall enter into a sponsorship agreement with Cavenaugh Automotive Group for the sponsorship of the City of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Elementary Basketball Program. A copy of said agreement is attached as "Exhibit A."

SECTION 2: Mayor Harold Copenhaver and City Clerk April Leggett are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
