RESOLUTION TO AMEND SECTION 3.5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO CONCERNING PAYMENT FOR MILITARY LEAVE

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO THAT SECTION 3.5 RELATING TO PAYMENT FOR MILITARY LEAVE BE AMENDED.
Be it resolved by the City Council of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Jonesboro:
SECTION 1: The Second Sentence of paragraph 3.5 Military Leave is hereby deleted and shall be replaced with the following two sentences: “Said leave shall be granted and pay shall be compensated at a rate not to exceed the average daily rate of the employee’s salary when coupled with the employee’s military pay.”
SECTION 2: The following sentence shall be added at the end or second paragraph in 3.5 Military Leave: “Reservists may elect to use vacation benefits during the period of active duty, but may not be required to do so be the employee.”
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of April, 1991.
