A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CONVEYANCE OF THE AMENITIES OF ROTARY CENTENNIAL PARK

WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Jonesboro, the University Rotary Club and the Rotary Club Metro have completed construction of Rotary Centennial Park located at Rotary Way in Craighead Forest Park; and
WHEREAS, the restroom facilities were constructed with in-kind donations from numerous Jonesboro businesses and contractors; and
WHEREAS, the three Rotary Clubs of Jonesboro would like to convey the restroom facilities and amenities at Rotary Centennial Park to the City of Jonesboro; and
WHEREAS, Rotary Centennial Park has become a cornerstone to the revitalization of Craighead Forest Park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro would like to thank the Rotary Clubs of Jonesboro for their vision and hard work in creating Rotary Centennial Park;
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro would like to thank all of the Jonesboro community members and businesses who donated time, materials and money to create Rotary Centennial Park;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: The City of Jonesboro shall accept conveyance of the restroom facilities at Rotary Centennial Park from the Rotary Club of Jonesboro, The University Rotary Club and the Rotary Club Metro
Section 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and the City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the conveyance of this property
