A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE LIGHTING OF BASEBALL FIELDS AT JOE MACK CAMPBELL PARK

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Joe Mack Campbell Park located at 3021 Dan Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro bid the lighting for the baseball fields and the low bidder was Pilgreen Electric with a low bid of $115,500
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has $418,380.49 in sponsorship money raised through sales of field sponsorships at Joe Mack Campbell Park and through the Arkansas Outdoor Recreation Grant.
WHEREAS, the funds for the lighting project shall come from 2005 budget line items 01-000-0500-33 Joe Mack Campbell Park-Grant; 07-000-0500-17 Restricted Funds-Soccer Field Donations and 07-000-0500-18 Restricted Funds Baseball Field Donations.
WHEREAS, a copy of the Project Manual is on file with at the City Clerk's office for public inspection.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bids totaling $115,500.00 for lighting at the additional baseball fields at Joe Mack Campbell Park
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
