BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

 

From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

 

Part of the South 1/4 of the South 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 4,  Township 13 North, Range 4 east, more particularly described as follows:  Commence at the Southwest corner of said Section 4; thence North 9.4 feet; thence South 89°32' 20" East 364.16 feet; thence on a curve to the right (radius 533.23 delta angle 14°35' 25") 135.79 feet; thence North 89°21'17" East 1384.75 feet; thence North 28°1'28" East 419.03 feet; thence North 89°25' 19" East 400.0 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence South 89°25'19" west 400.00 feet; thence North parallel to the right of way of State Highway No. 1 on a curve to the left (Radius 1871.43 Delta Angle 10°6'10") 330.0 feet; thence North 89°25'19" East 400.00 feet; thence South along the boundary of State Highway No. 1 330.0 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing approximately 3.03 acres.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract of land described above in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
