RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO GRANTS DEPARTMENT TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE TO ACCEPT THE FY 2012 JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT

Whereas, the City of Jonesboro is designated as a disparate jurisdiction with the Bureau of Justice Assistance, and
Whereas, the City of Jonesboro entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Craighead County, and
Whereas, the City of Jonesboro did apply for and was awarded $27,440, and
Whereas, the City of Jonesboro will use said funds for police vehicle equipment upgrades;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro will use said funds from the Bureau of Justice Assistance 2012 Grant Program for police vehicle equipment upgrades, and
SECTION 2: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
