RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH JOE WILLIAMS FOR THE RENTAL OF ALLEN PARK COMMUNITY CENTER

WHEREAS, Joe Williams has provided training and competition to female junior volleyball athletes for 21 years at the Earl Bell Community Center and Allen Park Community Center.

WHEREAS, the CITY is the owner and operator of certain public park amenities known as the Allen Park Community Center located at 3609 Race Street.

WHEREAS, Joe Williams and the City of Jonesboro desire to enter an agreement for the rental of Allen Park Community Center to provide Junior Olympic Volleyball to female athletes.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:      

SECTION 1:   That the City of Jonesboro shall contract with Joe Williams to rent the Allen Park Community Center for an initial term of two and one half (2 ½) years.

SECTION 2:   The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
