A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT FOR INSTALLING AND/OR REPLACING CULVERTS, CURB AND GUTTER, DRIVEWAYS, AND INLETS FROM NORTHEAST ARKANSAS CONTRACTORS, INC.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro advertised and received bids for the installation and/or replacing culverts, curb and gutter, driveways, and inlets for the Bennett Drainage project on February 15, 2006; and

WHEREAS, the low bid of $73,905.60 was submitted by Northeast Arkansas Contractors, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, bids are within our Capitol Improvements (Drainage) budget amount

WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee recommended on February 16, 2006, approval of awarding a contract to the low bidder for a contract of $73,905.60

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IF RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $73,905.60 from Northeast Arkansas Contractors, Inc. for installing and/or replacing culverts, curb and gutter, driveways, and inlets for the Bennett Drainage project.

SECTION 2: That the Mayor, Douglas Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.

PASSED AND ACCEPTED THIS 21^st DAY OF February, 2006.
