RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ABANDONMENT OF AN ALLEY RUNNING BETWEEN OAK AVENUE AND CHERRY AVENUE

WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed by Ellis Wheeler and Ernestine S. Wheeler, his wife; and H.C. Freeze and Bernice Freeze, his wife, praying that an alley between Block 26 of Knight's Second Addition to Jonesboro and Ragsdale Subdivision of Block 25 of Knight's Second Addition to Jonesboro be closed and abandoned as follows:
 
An alley 20 feet wide by 300 feet long running between Oak Avenue and Cherry Avenue on the East side of Block 26 of Knight's Second Addition to Jonesboro and the West side of Ragsdale Subdivision of Block 25 of Knight's Second Addition to Jonesboro.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas give notice by publication once a week for two weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County, advising the property owners affected that on the 4th day of August, 1958 the Council will hear the said Petition and determine whether all abutting property owners and other persons directly interested have consented to such abandonment.
